George Main

Player # 10
Position Fullback
Debut 1935: Round 1 vs North Sydney
Rep

George Main joined Canterbury in the inaugural season playing in the opening first grade game.

A handy goal kicking fullback, George was the highest point scorer in the first season.

Replaced in first grade by the emerging Tommy Kirk, George returned to first grade in 1937 while Kirk missed a season due to a broken leg.

Unfortunately, George was injured after two games and did not play for the club again.
