George Kilham played 95 games for South Sydney between 1935 and 1943.

A lock or second row, he played in the 1935 final against Easts (Roosters) and the 1939 final against Balmain.

George also played for South Sydney in the 1939 City Cup final that was won by Canterbury.

George went on to join Canterbury in 1944 and was a regular first grade player for four seasons. In 1945, George was captain and overall he captained for a total of 15 games.

Despite his success with the club, he was unlucky to miss the final series in 1946 and 1947 due to injury.
