In Round 16 of the 2021 NRL season, Falakiko Manu made his first-grade debut for the Bulldogs, and would go on to play a further three NRL matches. 

On 31 August 2021, Falakiko was one of twelve players who were told by Canterbury that they would not be offered a contract for the 2022 season and would be released at season's end. 

On 1 March 2022, it was announced that Falakiko had signed for Wynnum-Manly in the Queensland Cup.
