Dick Webb joined Canterbury in 1967 as a winger.
Originally a recruit from Rugby Union in Victoria, he was selected to play first grade from the start of the season against Penrith and was a regular member of the first grade team. Dick was relegated to reserve grade just before the final series.
In 1968 and 1969, Dick was a regular member of the reserve grade team.
