Dennis Scott played eight games for Brisbane from 1996 to 1998 as a prop forward.
In 1999, Dennis joined the Bulldogs and started the season in reserve grade before receiving the opportunity to play in the NRL against the Roosters when Robert Relf was relegated. He was a regular of the NRL team mid season before being relegated for Troy Stone.
Dennis played in the 1999 reserve grade Semi Final against Canberra.
In 2000, Dennis started the season in the NRL and became a regular member of the team.
In 2001, Dennis started the season in the NRL but was relegated for Steve Reardon. He returned to the NRL when Paul Rauhihi was relegated and played in the Semi-Final against Cronulla.
In 2002, Dennis started the season in the NRL but was relegated for Steve Price. He became a regular member of the Premier League and played in the Premiership winning team against St George Illawarra as a second row forward.
In 2003, Dennis became a regular member of the NRL team and played in the Preliminary Final against the Roosters.
In 2004, Dennis started the season in the NRL but his season was ruined by a knee injury and he did not take part in the 16-13 Grand Final win over the Roosters.
In 2005, Dennis joined Melbourne to play 19 games between 2005 and 2006. He retired at the end of 2006 due to a back injury.
In 2004, Dennis was nominated for the Berries to Bulldogs 70 Year Team of Champions.
