Dennis Beeby played Rugby Union for Manly as a prop forward, before joining Canterbury in 1970.

Dennis played in the winning Pre-Season Final team against St George and started the season in first grade against North Sydney. He was relegated to allow Norm Thomas to play prop.

Dennis became a regular member of the third grade team but missed the finals at the end of the season. 

1971 was an injury interrupted season but  Dennis was available to play in the third grade Premiership winning team against St George. 

In 1972, Dennis joined Cronulla to three first grade games that season.
