Denis Donoghue joined Canterbury in 1982 as a prop forward.

A South Sydney junior and the son of Denis Donoghue Snr, Denis was selected in first grade at the start of the season against Parramatta but was relegated when Geoff Robinson returned from injury.

Denis finished the season in reserve grade.
