David Ebeling joined Canterbury in 1989 as a fullback.
David was a regular member of the Under 21 team and received an opportunity to play first grade against Illawarra as a replacement.
In 1990, David started the season in reserve grade but returned to the Under 21s to play in the Preliminary Semi-Final against Parramatta on the wing.
In 1991, David was a regular member of the Under 21 team and played in the Premiership winning team against Parramatta.
In 1992, David was a regular member of the reserve grade team.
