Darren Britt played 59 games for Western Suburbs from 1989 to 1993 as a prop forward.
Darren joined Canterbury in 1994 and after a late start to the season was promoted to first grade against Canberra for Mitch Newton and secured the prop position for the next eight seasons. He played in the Grand Final against Canberra and in 1995, played in the Premiership winning team against Manly.
In 1996, Darren played every game of the season and captained the team for the first time. He captained Canterbury on 92 occasions from 1996 to 2001.
In 1997, Darren played in the Preliminary Semi Final against Penrith.
In 1998, Darren was made captain mid-season and played in the Grand Final against Brisbane.
He played for Australia at the end of the season. Darren played six Tests for Australia from 1998 to 2000 but did not play for NSW.
In 1999, Darren played in the Semi-Final against Melbourne and in 2000, missed only one game all season.
In 2001, Darren played his last game for the Bulldogs in the Semi-Final against Cronulla.
In 2002, Darren joined St Helens and retired after two seasons in England.
In 2004, Darren was nominated for the Berries to Bulldogs 70 Year Team of Champions.
