Darrell Trindall played 150 games for South Sydney from 1990 to 1999 as a five eighth or half back.

In 2000, Darrell joined St Helens for his only season at the club.

In 2001, Darrell joined the Bulldogs and started the season in 1st Division before receiving the opportunity to play in the NRL against the Warriors when Brent Sherwin was injured. He became a regular member of the team and played in the Semi-Final against Cronulla.

In 2002, Darrell started the season in the NRL but was relegated for Glen Hughes and became a regular member of the Premier League team.
