A strong back-rower with good ball skills and surprising speed and agility, Dallas McIlwain joined the club in season 2005 as a lock forward.

Originally recruited from Easts in Brisbane, he started the season in Premier League and received the opportunity to make his first grade debut in Round 9 against Brisbane after Reni Maitua was injured.

The injury toll continued to climb, however McIlwain stayed healthy and managed to play a further 14 matches for the blue-and-whites.

In 2006, Dallas started the season late and was a regular member of the Premier League team before returning to first grade in Round 9 against the Roosters.

Dallas played a total of just nine games in 2006, however he did manage to play in the victorious Qualifying Semi-Final against Canberra off the bench after scoring a superb long-range try a week earlier against Penrith.

In 2008 Dallas joined Wynnum Manly in the QLD Cup.
