Craig Polla Mounter joined Canterbury in 1991 as a five eighth.
Starting the season in reserve grade, Craig was relegated to be a regular member of the Under 21 team and played in the Premiership winning team against Parramatta.
In 1992, Craig received the opportunity to play first grade against South Sydney as a replacement and became the regular half back when Matthew Ryan was injured and Ewan McGrady was moved to fullback.
In 1993, Craig played every game that season and played in the Preliminary Final against Brisbane.
In 1994, Craig started in first grade but spent time in reserve grade when returning from injury before securing the first grade position. He played in the Grand Final against Canberra.
In 1995, Craig started the season in reserve grade but by mid-season, replaced Peter Wheeler and remained in first grade for the rest of the season. He played in the Premiership winning team against Manly.
In 1996, Craig was the regular half back in first grade and in 1997, alternated between half back and five eighth.
In 1998, Craig started the season as half back but by the finals was playing five eighth. He played the Grand Final against Brisbane.
In 1999, Craig's season was ruined with a shoulder injury but returned in 2000 to mainly play from the interchange bench.
In 2001, Craig started the season at half back but moved to the hooking role mid-season. He captained Canterbury on six occasions in 2001 but was injured just before finals with a sternum injury.
In 2002, Craig moved to the Sunshine Coast to play and returned to Canterbury for a short comeback in 2004.
In 2004, Craig was nominated for the Berries to Bulldogs Team of Champions and is a Life Member of the Football Club.
