Col Greenwood played for Wakefield Trinity from 1960 to 1963 mainly as a winger and played in the Challenge Cup final in 1963.
A South African, Col toured Australia with the South African team in 1963 as five eighth.
He joined North Sydney in 1964 and played 79 games between 1964 and 1968. Col was captain-coach of North Sydney in 1968.
In 1969, Col joined Canterbury and received the opportunity to play first grade against Parramatt when Les Perry was relegated. Injury severely impacted on his season.
In 1970, he made a return mid-season but was again impacted by injury. Col returned to South Africa and played a role in developing the game in South Africa, particularly during the Super League era.
Col passed away in October 1999 aged 62.
