Brian Wedgewood joined Canterbury in 1967 as a second row forward.
A recruit from the Perth competition, Brian secured a regular position in reserve grade before making his first grade debut as a replacement against St George.
In 1968, Brian played first grade when George Taylforth was relegated but was later relegated himself to allow Barry Smith into the team.
In 1969, he became a regular member of the third grade team and played in the Grand Final against South Sydney.
In 1970, Brian was a regular member of the reserve grade team before injury ended his season. Brian returned to Perth in 1972.
