Brian McPherson joined Canterbury in 1967 as a prop forward.

Brian became a regular member of the reserve grade team in his initial season.

In 1968, Brian started the season in third grade but became a regular member of the reserve grade team before making his first grade debut for the club against St George when Norm Thomas was injured late in the season.

Brian passed away in May 2001.
