Brad Cowell joined Canterbury in 1990 as a prop.

Brad was a regular member of the Under 21 team and received the opportunity to play first grade against Illawarra as a replacement. He played in the Preliminary Semi-Final against Parramatta.

In 1991, Brad played in reserve grade, mainly as a replacement.
