Bob Lindfield joined Canterbury in the inaugural season as a veteran hooker.
Bob had played 126 first grade games with Western Suburbs between 1923 and 1934 including one game for NSW in 1928.
Bob also played in the Western Suburbs premiership winning teams of 1930 and 1934.
He played in the inaugural first grade match for the Berries and only missed a handful of games due to injury.
In 1936, Bob suffered a shoulder injury which ended his playing career.
He went on to coach in various country locations and passed away in 1959 while coaching in Orange.
