Bill Walsh joined Canterbury in 1968 as a lock forward.
Originally playing in the lower grades at St George, Bill made his first grade debut for Canterbury against his former club when Leo Toohey was relegated.
He played five eighth before moving to the second row later in the season as a regular first grade player.
In 1969, Bill was a regular in reserve grade as lock and captained the team on six occasions.
Bill passed away on July 14 1981, aged 39.
