Barry Reynolds joined Canterbury in 1964 as a centre. Barry is the brother of Terry Reynolds.

Barry became a regular member of the reserve grade team in his first season with the club. In 1965, he was selected in first grade against South Sydney for the opening match of the season and became a regular member of the team.

After an injury interrupted 1966, Barry was a regular member of the reserve grade team in 1967. Injury to Max Brown allowed Barry to play on the wing in the final series where he appeared in the Grand Final against South Sydney.

After starting the season in first grade in 1968, Barry's season was interrupted by injury and by the end of the season he was playing in third grade.

In his last three seasons of grade, Barry only played sporadically due to injury, until his retirement in 1971.
