Adrian Rainey played 13 games for Western Suburbs in 1998 as a second row forward and in 2001, he played two games for Parramatta.

In, 2003 Adrian joined the Bulldogs and became a regular member of the Premier League team. He played in the Preliminary Final against Penrith.

In 2004, Adrian was a regular member of the Premier League team and received the opportunity to play in the NRL against the Wests Tigers when Steve Price, Mark O'Meley, Willie Mason and Andrew Ryan were unavailable due to representative commitments. He returned to the Premier League to play in the Qualifying Semi-Final against the Roosters.

In 2005, Adrian moved to France to continue his career.
