Ted Glossop

Ted Glossop played 15 games for St George from 1951 to 1957 as a halfback.

Ted became coach of Cronulla in 1976 and 1977 before joining Canterbury in 1978.

He coached Canterbury teams to the finals in 1978, 1979, 1980 and 1983. Ted coached Canterbury to the Grand Final in 1979 and to the Premiership in 1980.

In 1980, Ted became coach of NSW. He coached NSW on five occasions from 1980 to 1983.

After departing Canterbury, Ted returned to St George to coach in 1988. 

Ted passed away in December 1998, aged 65.
